Here we go my friend, once again... I would like to propose in this topic a videogame that, in my opinion, is one amongst the hardest and most beautiful that were concepted for the 264 Commodore series machines (the Commodore 16, the Plus/4 and the Commodore 116)...
The name of the game is P.O.D. (Proof of Destruction) and was programmed by a coder that, in my personal opinion, is really a genius, Shaun Southern aka SOUT from England... The game was published by Mastertronic in the year of 1986...
This is a screenshot, as you can see the game is really simple-graphic based, but is really really hard to play... you control the little space ship at the bottom of the screen and have to eliminate all the enemies who come from upside on the screen... you are on a grid, and you can move only following the lines of this grid, when they get broken, you can not move... (moreover, you always have to keep the joystick down because the ship goes upside by herself...) Here it is the screenshot, taken from the website

Here you will find a complete description of the game (the original cassette cover was scanned and put on the website...)

and not only, there is also the opportunity, if you have the Java plugin installed on your computer, to play POD online... here is the link:

the game starts automatically when the applet is loaded... a personal suggestion, try to listen to the opening music tune... for me it's really fantastic... Shaun Southern was able to create wonderful melodies using also a TED with two poor sound generators... the music is cycle-based and it's partly looped, it's kinda hypnotic... for sure, the Commodore 64 users will smile when listen to it , because it's more simplified music related than the music produced by the SID chip...
In order to play the game, you have to click on the applet with the left button of the mouse, then you have to activate the joystick options by pressing the F10 and F11 keys (the "J1 ON" and "J2 ON" alerts are displayed on the applet) and start the game by hitting contemporary the space bar and the up arrow key on the keyboard...
Have fun !!!!
